Custom orthotics and braces play an important part in reducing pain and restoring mobility. Orthotics
work by aligning lower limb joints in the most efficient manner thereby reducing strain on joints.
Braces work by supporting joints in a relatively pain-free position and thus allow increased pain free
mobility in conditions like plantar fasciitis, heel spur, foot arthritis, knee arthritis and low back pain.
We provide pre-fabricated (off-the-shelf) orthotics and braces for arthritis, sprains and strains.
Our therapists work with different providers to obtain the most suitable orthotics and
braces for our clients.
We also provide custom knee bracing services particularly knee unloader brace - commonly recommended by orthopaedic surgeons for knee osteoarthritis, meniscus and ligament injuries instead of a knee surgery.
Manual therapy involves a skilled hands-on approach to assess and treat muscles and joint condition,
reduce pain, restore range of motion, restore muscle flexibility, reduce inflammation, induce relaxation,
and restore maximum function. The techniques include spinal traction, specific vertebral movements,
bone and joint manipulation and mobilizations.
Acupuncture and Dry needling
We offer acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, dry needling and intramuscular stimulation (IMS) as an adjunct
to physiotherapy treatment program for pain reduction, restoration of range of motion and reduction of
inflammation in conditions like Sciatica, tennis elbow, knee arthritis, TMJ pain, low back pain, hamstring
strain, neck/cervical pain, headaches, Electro-acupuncture and IMS involve stimulation of acupuncture
needles with a small electric device to enhance the therapeutic effects of acupuncture.
Soft Tissue Release (STR)
Soft tissue release is a hand-on technique with immediate effects on muscle and soft tissue. The
technique involves application of massage, stretching and myofascial release by physiotherapist with
assistance from the patient. The results are quick effective and help correct muscle imbalances and
return muscles to optimal performance length. This technique can be used of various muscles and
tendons particularly hamstrings muscle, Achilles tendon (for Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis),
hip flexors (for groin pain), lateral epicondyle muscles (for tennis elbow), piriformis muscle (for sciatic
pain), trapezius muscle (to release neck pain and secondary headaches) and various sports injuries.
Sports physiotherapy services include treatment and prevention of sports injuries. We use athletic
taping, stretching techniques (including soft tissue release), targeted muscle strength techniques,
modalities, bracing and proper lifting and body mechanics techniques to help our clients return to
Ultrasound, Interferrential Current (IFC), Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulator (TENS), heat and ice
are used to treat various injuries, pain and inflammatory conditions.
